All lessons are 60 minutes and take place online on Zoom.
Rescheduling: You can cancel or move a lesson with at least 12 hours' notice. Lessons cancelled with less than 12 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be counted as completed.

If you’re looking for a complete Italian course that builds every skill you need, this is the one for you. The General Course is a structured group course that develops your speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also strengthening your grammar and vocabulary.
Lessons are interactive and dynamic, blending practical communication with grammar explanations and cultural insights. You’ll work with other students at a similar level, share your learning journey, and practise Italian in a motivating, supportive environment.
By the end of the course, you’ll not only understand Italian better but also be able to use it confidently in conversations, in writing, and in real-life situations. Remember, we don’t teach textbook Italian, we teach the real, everyday Italian that people actually speak!

Our Conversation Group Courses are designed to help you do exactly that. In a supportive, small-group environment (maximum of 5 students per class), you’ll practise real-life communication through lively discussions, role-plays, and cultural topics.
Instead of memorising phrases, you’ll learn how to think in Italian and respond naturally, from the very first lesson.
Each lesson is built around authentic resources, current themes, and interactive activities that keep the conversation flowing. You don’t need to buy any textbooks, all materials are provided, and you’ll receive personalised feedback so you can track your progress and keep improving after every class.

Levels offered: suitable for learners with at least an A2 level (groups will start once we have at least 2 students per group)
Since 4 December 2018 (Law no. 132), anyone applying for Italian citizenship must demonstrate an adequate knowledge of the Italian language at B1 level or above, according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
The CILS UNO-B1 Cittadinanza is specifically designed for candidates who need official language certification for citizenship purposes. The exam is divided into four sections: listening, reading and language use, writing, and speaking. It is a shorter and more focused version of the standard B1 exam.
At Italiano con Manisha, we offer preparation 1:1 courses for the CILS B1 Citizenship examination. These courses provide in-depth training across all the skills assessed in the exam.
Students work with past papers to familiarise themselves with the structure and identify common challenges, while receiving targeted guidance on how to approach each section effectively.
We provide a clear overview of the exam format, including task types, question styles, and assessment criteria, ensuring that candidates understand exactly what is expected and feel fully prepared on exam day.
Our CILS B1 Cittadinanza preparatory course run for 5 weeks, 2 hours per week, and are offered online.
Candidates must already be at a level no lower than B1 when starting the course.
The aim of the course is to to consolidate knowledge and boost exam confidence, practising and improving exam techniques.
Frequently Asked Questions
What level of Italian do I need for the citizenship exam?
You need to be at B1 level (or above) according to the CEFR. Since the citizenship law of December 2018, this is the minimum required to apply for Italian citizenship. You should already be at B1 when starting the course, which focuses on exam technique and confidence rather than building the language from scratch.
What is the CILS B1 Cittadinanza exam?

No. The exam itself must be taken in person at an accredited test centre (in Italy, or abroad at Italian Cultural Institutes and authorised centres). Our course prepares you fully for the exam, but you'll sit the official exam in person at a centre of your choice.
What does the course include?

My name is Manisha, and I’m the founder of Italiano con Manisha. I’m a Certified Italian Language Teacher, born and raised in the beautiful city of Modena, in northern Italy.
I’ve been teaching Italian for over 7 years, working with students from all over the world and at different levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners.
I completed my BA in European Languages in Italy and later obtained my teaching certification, specialising in Italian as a foreign language. In 2019, I moved to London to further my studies and completed an MA in Asian Languages.
I love helping students feel confident in Italian from day one, focusing on clear explanations, real communication, and practical language you can actually use.
